Nature can have a big impact on a the health of people. Most of us know that nature can improve our mood and sense of well-being. However, the entire range of health benefits associated with nature can extend beyond this.
The health benefits of improved access to nature include:
- increase in happiness, well-being, and quality of life
- decrease in use of antidepressants
- fewer allergies and behavioural problems in children
- more physical activity
- a decreased risk of death for older people
In most places access to nature outdoors is limited right now for health concerns related to coronavirus.
